IT was a successful day at Tregaron Carnival on Saturday.
The carnival president was Annwen Jones and the judges were Cllr and Mrs Lynford Thomas, vice-chair of Ceredigion County Council. The loyal master of ceremonies was John Jones, who kept the proceedings running.
Carnival queen was Gwenno Dark and her attendants were Ellen Rook; Malen Jenkins; Iago Evans and Glyn Jones. They all looked spectacular on the float, beautifully decorated by their parents.
Heulwen Bulman said: “The children’s classes were fantastic, brilliant ideas, superbly presented and the adult classes again were quite brilliant.
“There were two floats – Ysgol Sul Bwlchgwynt, who won first prize, and Clwb Rygbi Tregaron. The sports held after the Carnival were well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by all.”
