The Welsh Government Minister for Culture Sport and Tourism and CADW officials have visited Penparcau to discuss the development of Pen Dinas hillfort as a cultural site for tourism and local history.

Elin Jones AM helped co-ordinate the meeting between volunteers at Yr Hwb in Penparcau and Dafydd Elis-Thomas AM.

Following the meeting, Miss Jones said: “I was very pleased to have established this meeting between the Welsh Government and Penparcau Community Forum.

"There is so much potential in the Pen Dinas site and so much history that needs to be brought to light and protected.

“Pen Dinas is a landmark seen for miles around Aberystwyth and many people come to learn about its history.

"The plans being put forward by Penparcau Community Forum are very interesting and would help educate us all about the history of our area.”
