Clwb Garddio Ponterwyd Garden Club

THE cold and wet weather of early spring has not kept Ponterwyd Garden Club indoors. There has been an outdoor meeting every month where they take photos for their annual calendar.

The indoor meetings started in March at the George Borrow Hotel in Ponterwyd, where they held the AGM and annual quiz. The April meeting was a plant swap between members, the quality and quantity of the plants was wonderful, all members were very pleased with their acquisitions.The next meeting is on Tuesday, 17 May, 7.30pm at the George Borrow Hotel. The guest speaker is local farmer and historian, Erwyd Howells. Erwyd is giving an illustrated talk about ‘A year in the life of a Welsh hill farmer’. He has given the group many interesting talks over the years, so members are all looking forward to meeting up with him again.
