The Dolgellau and District branch of the Pony Club achieved fifth place at the Cheshire Shield One Day Event at Somerford Park Farm, organised by the East Cheshire branch.

The club stood their own coming fifth out of 11 teams in the Grassroots class (80cm).

Rhianna Ffion Williams, 12; Lucy Vicars, 22; Megan Breese, 16; and Daniella Paganuzzi, 13, attended their first ever event as individuals and as part of a team.

The club is going from strength to strength and now has 27 members.

The club is off on the annual Pony Club camp at the end of the month.

New members are always welcome and can come to have a taster session on their own pony too.
