THE annual Portrait of Britain exhibition started on Saturday (1 September) and includes a picture taken in Dolgellau.
Amy Kerridge, a Cardiff-based photographer, took an image of a fellow photographer taken in the Gwynedd town.
Amy is one of 100 winning photographers chosen to take part in the exhibition for this image.
It will be displayed nationwide across the JCDecaux digital network of screens along with 99 other portrait pictures taken by photographers all over the country.
The picture is called “The Geology of Attention”.
“Bob is part of a community of amateur photographers and jet spotters that roam the hillsides of north Wales in all weather conditions.
“I met Bob on a particularly busy flying day.
“Two Chinooks came through the valley flying at 100ft so slowly that the rumbling of the jets set off all the car alarms in the car park, creating a strange atmosphere of both beauty and terror,” Amy said of her image.
The 100 winners were announced by British Journal of Photography at 10am on Thursday (30 August).
Of the 100 images, nine were taken in Wales, including Amy’s picture, ‘The Geology of Attention’.
Of the 100 winning photographers, six live in Wales.
