Madam,

I refer to your article “Reopening rail line could cost as much as £750m”. I think that the idea is absolutely marvellous news for the whole of mid Wales. If we look at the benefits that surround this railway not only does this connect mid and south Wales, it also will bring in inward investment that sadly is missing now. It could also bring easier travel to the south. It will also reduce traffic on our roads thus reducing maintenance costs on roads to the south.

If you base the £750m on the long-term, taking into account the above, it will be money well spent for generations to come.
