A RISING star from Meirionnydd has just landed a role that is truly beautiful to behold.

Callum Evans, 23, is shaping up to play Rocky Horror in the eponymous cult class, the Rocky Horror Picture Show which is touring across the UK.

Richard O’Brien’s manic rock n’ roll musical tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist, Dr Frank-N-Furter.

Callum (pictured) - who has previously played characters in Lazytown, Miss Saigon, and Grease stage shows - is excited to portray Dr Frank-N-Furter’s muscle-bound creation famed for being ‘just seven hours old’ and ‘truly beautiful to behold’.

It shall be a “hefty” experience accoring to the young actor.

“I’ve just finished Salad Days the musical last Saturday and it’s straight into rehearsals this week. There’s no stop and it’s good to be busy,” said Callum.

“I’ll be playing the role of Rocky from the week beginning in December starting in Brighton and finishing 2020.

“I’m thrilled. Rehearsals are currently in London for the next three weeks.

“The cast and crew are all very lovely and I can’t wait to get started with them.”
