A Machynlleth ecologist will juggle blindfolded at the top of Mount Snowdon to raise money for a new, global, not-for-profit ogranisation.

Scott Roe will take on the task on Saturday, 15 June for the new digital startup, based in Wales, will work with partners to tackle some of the planet’s biggest challenges including climate change, equality, social justice, access to legal aid, government accountability and poverty.

Solvos will use digital technology such as apps, digital platforms and search engines to realise substantial donations and advertising revenue which will be distributed to partners based upon user preferences.

Solvos will operate as a carbon neutral company via the United Nations’s Carbon Neutral programme.

Scott, of Solvos, outlined his hopes and aspirations, saying: “We believe that we can put Wales on the map as a digital game changer and make a huge contribution towards tackling climate change, government accountability, access to medicine and health care and other dominant global issues.”

Solvos has been in discussions with Google, Microsoft and multiple global charities in recent months and continue to form some powerful partnerships.
