SLIMMERS in Gwynedd have raised over £4,000 by donating their old clothes.

Every year, Slimming World ask their members to donate old clothes that they have slimmed out of and to bring them in over a two week period.

This year, the Penrhyndeudreath, Porthmadog and Pwllheli groups collected their old big clothes which in total filled a staggering 168 bags.

These bags netted £4,175 which will now go towards Cancer Research UK.

Similar clothes collections in Slimming Worlds across the UK raised £3.3 million for the charity in the last year,

The consultants Kristy Roberts and Ceri Jones would like to thank each and every person who has helped to donate.

Kristy added: “The money is going towards such an important cause and means so much to us both.”

Slimming World groups meet in Penrhyndeudraeth on Mondays at 10am, Porethmadog on Thursdays and Pwllheli on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
