GCSE pupils across Ceredigion have been praised as they collect their exam results.
97% of entries for WJEC Summer examinations were graded A*-G; 66% achieved A*-C grades and 22% of the entries achieved A*-A grades.

Ysgol Henry Richard in Tregaron’s headmaster, Dorian Pugh, said: "I would like to congratulate our pupils at Ysgol Henry Richard on their excellent GCSE results this year. These achievements reflect the hard work, dedication and perseverance shown by each and every one of you, and we are immensely proud of your success.
“These results are testament to the strong partnership between pupils, staff and families, whose support and commitment have played a vital role in this achievement. It is rewarding to see our pupils fulfil their potential and move forward with confidence to the next stage of their education or careers, whether that be sixth form, college, an apprenticeship or another pathway.”

Ysgol Bro Teifi headmaster, Gareth Evans, said: “The school has seen an increase in the number of students achieving at least five A*-A grades, together with an increase in the number of learners achieving five A*-C grades including Welsh/English and Mathematics.
“These results are a testament to the hard work, dedication and perseverance of both students and staff over the past two years, and reflect the school's core values of resilience and ambition.

“As the school celebrates this success, it would also like to thank staff, families and the wider community for their continued support of its learners.”
Ysgol Gyfun Aberaeron said: “Congratulations to all our pupils on their excellent GCSE results. The grades reflect the hard work of our pupils and the support from staff, family and friends.”
