HARLECH train station is up for Wales’ best kept station award thanks to a hard working group of local women.
Arriva Trains Wales has nominated the volunteers from the Harlech WI in this year’s Tidy Wales Awards.
The Tidy Wales Awards 2016 present an opportunity for passengers and local members of the public to acknowledge the work put in to improve Harlech Station since it was adopted by volunteers in 2013.
Speaking on behalf of Harlech WI, Denise Hagan said: “We’d love passengers to vote as it is recognition of all the hard work our volunteers have put in to improve Harlech Station.
“The scheme is a great way of bringing the community together and our close relationship with Arriva and the work we do on the ground ensures that Harlech always makes a good first impression to visitors."
To vote for the Harlech WI visit the Arriva Trains Wales website at www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk
The voting period opens on Monday, 6 June and closes Wednesday, 31 August.
