An Aberystwyth appliance store has come to the rescue for doctors at Bronglais Hospital.

After hearing that washing facilities at doctors’ accommodation weren’t working, Aberystwyth Gas and Electrical Appliances donated a brand new Bosch washing machine and tumble dryer to enable doctors to clean their clothes.

Alan Lewis of AGEA said: “We were happy to help the doctors at Bronglais and had the stock in.”

The company’s act of kindness is just the latest in a long line of local businesses offering their services to the NHS, with Cambrian Coast Caravan Park in Borth offering six of its caravans to frontline workers if they need to self-isolate or stay away from family members during the coronavirus outbreak.
