Grwp Llandrillo Menai student enrichment officer Sarah Wynn presented a cheque on behalf of Rob Whittey, student union president at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor for 2017/18 to Jim at Mind Môn a Gwynedd.
Jim said: “We’re so grateful for all the fundraising efforts of the students at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor in raising £879.01 for Mind Môn a Gwynedd.
“The amount is fantastic and we have loved keeping up to date on social media with all the activities that the students have arranged to fundraise for us.
“All of the money will go back into services supporting young people in our local community, including Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor’s campuses.
“Thank you so much for supporting us.”
Sarah Wynn added: “Our student union decided to support local Mind charities as our Grwp charity of the year for 2017/18.
“Over the last year, our student union have been encouraging staff and students to get involved in fundraising activities and events to raise money and to raise awareness of the vital work of Mind charities.
“The student union presidents and all the staff and students across the Grwp have all been involved over the last year, and have organised fantastic events to help us raise a grand total of £4,676.15.
“I can’t thank everyone enough for getting involved and supporting such worthy charities.
“The work that Mind undertakes is beneficial to the whole community, including all of our campuses, and has a wide and lasting impact.”
