STAFF at a Pwllheli supermarket have handed over a cheque for £2,000 to the local foodbank.
ASDA Pwllheli staff members Jo Scott (left) and Jacqui Hordell (right), on behalf of the Asda Foundation, presented a £2,000 cheque to Ursula Whitehouse and Daphne Chalk of Banc Bwyd Pwllheli foodbank.
Ursula and Daphne said: “Banc Bwyd Pwllheli is hugely grateful to Asda for the amazing donation.
"This money will enable us to purchase some new equipment, particulary collapsible boxes for the pre-made food parcels.”
They added: “The on-going costs of delivering this service are huge. We cover a large area from Porthmadog to just beyond Trefor, to Garndolbenmaen and the whole of the Llyn Peninsula. We are there to support anyone who finds themselves in food poverty”
