Madam,

I see with some surprise and dismay (front page, Aberystwyth edition, last week’s Cambrian News) that Morrisons has decided to discriminate against some charities collecting in its Aberystwyth store. I might understand their wish to give priority to local charities but their thinking seems to be a little muddled and incomprehensible.Many national charities have very local branches run by local people (I speak with some experience) who must raise money locally which is very definitely spent locally. What is Morrisons’ definition of local, I wonder?
