A Tanygrisiau musician and teacher is celebrating graduation success.
Kate Robinson has a Diploma of Higher Education in Music from the Open University.
Kate attended her official graduation ceremony on Wednesday, 14 October at the prestigious Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.
The talented multi-instrumentalist plays the saxophone, flute, piano, ukulele, and bass guitar.
In addition to her own intensive distance-learning studies, Kate is well-known locally as the driving force behind her music school, Kate Cerdd, based in Tanygrisiau.
Countless local children and adult pupils have passed through the school under her guidance, frequently achieving formal graded exams on their respective instruments.
These local examinations are regularly hosted nearby at Ysgol Moelwyn in Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Kate was supported at the ceremony by a large group of proud family and friends who made the journey to Manchester especially to share her big day. Among those celebrating with her were her husband George, sister-in-law Joan, nieces Helen and Beni, and friends Oliver, Kyroe, and Xavier. Kate is now looking forward to continuing her musical journey as she progresses straight onto her next academic chapter: studying for a full BA (Hons) in Music.
