Madam,

I’m writing to thank the organisations involved in the events to celebrate Ceredigion Carers Week who helped make the week a success. Ceredigion Carers Week took place from 3 to 11 June; the county council’s Carers Unit worked in partnership with the British Red Cross, Hafal and Crossroads Mid and West Wales to organise four events across the county with support from Marie Curie.

Carers save the UK Economy £132 billion each year by looking after family members and friends who are ill, frail, disabled, affected by mental health issues or substance misuse issues; so as a thank you to carers during Ceredigion Carers Week, 68 Carers were treated to relaxation therapies, mobility equipment demos, a theatre performance by Theatr Fforwm Cymru and a delicious afternoon tea.

A huge thank you to all the organisations that took part in all the celebrations and for their continued hard work in supporting carers in Ceredigion.
