Madam,

A huge thank you to all the local people who gave up their Easter holiday, and risked arrest, to join those protesting peacefully with Extinction Rebellion (XR) in endeavouring to get the government to honestly tell the people of this country about the urgency of dealing with global warming.

Everyone can do their bit towards ensuring a future for our children, by eating sensibly, saving energy, using water sparingly, reducing their carbon footprint with less consumerism – make do and mend, and shopping locally.

Ask your local councillor to raise the issue at a higher level.

No other issue, personally, locally, nationally or internationally will matter if we don’t start now to repair the damage we have caused our planet.

We are all going to hell in a handcart if we don’t!
