LLANBADARN FAWR councillor Paul James has slammed a traffic report into the proposed new 48-home development at the top of Primrose Hill as having “more holes than the Titanic”.
A site inspection by planning members last week was carried out after concerns were raised over the impact of more traffic in the area, which was already a “nightmare” according to local objectors.
Cllr James said a report - which says the “the increase in traffic from the development is considered therefore, to have an insignificant impact on the overall operation of the junctions” - “lacks credibility”.
“It is my opinion as one of the local members, and I mentioned this to the site inspection panel, that the report had more holes in it than the Titanic,” Cllr James said.
“The report carried out by the applicant had missed out many areas of information, which are of great concern to myself, Cllr Gareth Davies, the community council and our residents.
“The conclusion and recommendation appear to gloss over the actual data and seem to be at odds with it.
“Presumably this was produced in the hope that nobody would read the actual data of 400-plus pages, and would rely on the summarised conclusions."
