Clwb Cerdded Tregaron Walking Club

THE next walk is scheduled for 9 July and is called ‘A weekend away walking part of Offa’s Dyke long distance path’ and the leader is Martin Pugh, 01974 298 989. Offa’s Dyke is a 1,200-year-old earthen boundary and is Britain’s longest archaeological monument, stretching for 129km through the Welsh borders from Treuddyn (near Wrexham in north east Wales) to Sedbury Cliffs (on the Severn estuary, in southern Gloucestershire). The surviving dyke typically consists of a bank which can be up to eight metres high associated with a deep western ditch. Contact the leader for more details about the walk, accommodation, travelling costs and departure. Should you wish to become a member of Clwb Cerdded Tregaron Walking Club then please feel free to give Dafydd, the secretary, a ring on 01974 298 150.
