Re: letter from Peter Watts, ‘Sad to see there’s still no memorial’.
Indeed there should be a memorial to the 15 people who lost their lives. Mr Watts lost his parents and brother in this terrible tragedy. This memorial could perhaps be put on Barmouth Bridge, telling people how treacherous these waters can be and serving as a tribute to the people taking a trip on these waters and losing their lives in such a tragic way.
Life goes on, but this man won’t forget his family and others who died tragically, and it would be a fitting tribute to these people if they were remembered by others too.
