A Dolgellau man who damaged the walls of a police cell has been fined by magistrates.

Gary Williams, of Flat 6, Bryntirion, appeared before Caernarfon Magistrates’ Court on 18 December.

The 58-year-old pleaded guilty to damaging the walls of a cell at the custody unit in Caernarfon on 10 November this year.

Magistrates fined Williams £40 and ordered him to pay £60 in compensation.

No order was made for costs.
