A community trust has now taken over the running of public toilets in a Meirionnydd village.
Fairbourne Amenities Trust has now taken over complete control of the two toilet blocks in the seaside village and have undertaken a much needed complete makeover of both these blocks using a local company who, like the group, are eager to do their utmost to give the community a facility to be proud of, and a mural is being painted by a local Fairbourne artist Joyce Woolley.
All this is being made possible from the donations of locals, visitors and businesses.
These donations are covering the daily operating costs of the facilities - lighting, water, cleaning etc and are essential for the futre of these facilities, making fairbourne one of the few villages in Gwynedd with open public toilets.
