BBC1 create a real buzz about New Quay honey farm.

New Quay Honey Farm has recently featured on BBC1’s popular programme, Eat Well for Less?

This programme helps everyday families to cut their weekly and monthly food shop bills.

The presenter, Chris Bavin and film crew spent the day at the farm in May where the bbc crew met the bees, saw the live bees exhibition, watched the honey being bottled and tasted the honey, with owner Sam Cooper.

Sam said: “It was great to be a part of the show and have the opportunity to advertise bee farming in Wales. We feel Afon Mel products are a true signature of Ceredigion and being on the show hopefully made more people aware of where we are and what we do.”

After tasting Afon Mel Honey Chris Bavin said: “Local honey does cost a little bit more but with it you’re guaranteed a unique flavour. So if you want British countryside on your toast, give it a go.”

Besides taste,it also has major health benefits. Local honey can provide relief from seasonable allergies.

New Quay Honey Farm began through a family love of beekeeping over twenty years ago. They now have over 500 hives here in Ceredigion, producing our delicious Wildflower Honey.
