TRIBUTES have been paid to a ‘popular’ Llyn pensioner who was tragically killed in a car crash at Y Ffor.

Mair Roberts was killed in the fatal road traffic collision on the A499 at Y Ffor near Pwllheli on the afternoon of Wednesday, 20 July.

The family have issued the following tribute: “The family are devastated by the loss of Mair Roberts, wife of the late John Trevor Roberts, who tragically lost her life in a car accident that occurred in Y Ffôr near Pwllheli on Wednesday.

“She leaves behind her daughter Deilwen Roberts, grandson Gary Roberts and his family and her sister Kate Anne Roberts.

“Mair was a very kind and popular lady loved by all and who were fortunate enough to have known her.”

Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision which occurred shortly before 3.45pm between a silver Volkswagen Polo and a white Ford Transit.
