A TALENTED Penglais School musician who is profoundly deaf has been selected to take part in a live showcase.
Tincemon Shaji, 13, who plays the drums, has been selected by the National Deaf Children’s Society and leading deaf professionals from the arts industry.
He will now attend a mentoring weekend along with other Raising the Bar stars to work towards a live showcase in Birmingham in June.
The Raising the Bar competition was developed by the National Deaf Children’s Society to drive expectations of what the 45,000 deaf children and young people in the UK can achieve.
Tincemon, along with 24 other deaf young people, was selected by leading deaf professionals from the arts industry for showcasing exceptional talent in music.
