YOUNG people from across north Wales have spent a challenging few days in Aberdyfi as part of a pioneering youth development project.

The Our Wild Coast project, run by the North Wales Wildlife Trust, is providing opportunities for young people from across the region to discover and undertake positive action for local wildlife whilst also developing important life skills and a sense of pride in their local environment.

Last weekend, 36 youngsters visited the Outward Bound Centre in Aberdyfi to take part in an exciting residential course designed to test their physical limits and explore their own personal potential.

Activities included climbing, canoeing, walking, fire building and taking part in team building games.

The course gave participants of various ages from different communities in north Wales the chance to socialise with each other and work together to overcome personal challenges.
