Letter to the Editor: I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to thetwo first responders and two paramedics who came when I was taken ill recently.They were all so kind and very thorough with the many tests, and patient andunderstanding with my refusal to go to hospital.

I hope these hardworking people, together with the nurses,get the pay and treatment they deserve.
