HIGH-FLYING Pwllheli tore through the Gwersyllt Park batting line-up to dismiss the visitors for a meagre total of 54 all out, en route to an emphatic 10-wicket victory in the North Wales division one.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, the visitors found no answer to the Pwllheli bowlers, with Morgan Murray-Williams accounting for the top order to return figures of 3 for 19 from eight overs.
Only number three batsman Scott Watkins (13) and number seven Lee Beer (13) made it to double figures for Gwersyllt, before the 10th wicket fell in the 24th over.
Sean Reilly took 1 for 15 from six overs, with two maidens, and Owen Reilly 2 for 8 from 4 overs, before Jason Underwood finished off the lower order to return 4 for 11 in 5.3 overs, including three maidens.
The opening pairing of Chris Moore and Underwood then chased down the winning runs in just 6.2 overs, without loss.
Moore struck 6 fours to finish on 32 not out off 25 balls, and Underwood followed up his fine effort with the ball to finish on 25 not out off 13 balls, including 4 fours and a six, as second-placed Pwllheli maintained their pressure on leaders Northop at the top of the division one table.
