A TEENAGER has appeared in Swansea Crown Court to admit a crime spree in Bow Street.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, attended a plea and trial preparation hearing before Judge Keith Thomas.

He admitted burgling a caravan at Llety Ceiro guest house and stealing a games console and a mobile telephone.

He also admitted assaulting Aaron Marshall causing him actual bodily harm and stealing car keys after breaking into a house in Tregerddan, Bow Street.

The youth went on to admit aggravated vehicle-taking by driving away a BMW and later driving dangerously on the A485 near Lampeter and causing damage to a police car.

He also admitted a charge of dangerous driving along the same stretch of road.

All the offences were committed on 26 June.

A second defendant, Paul Richards-Keegan, aged 20, of Caradog Road, Aberystwyth, admitted the charge of aggravated vehicle-taking but denied the two burglaries and the assault. He will stand trial on 26 October and was granted bail meanwhile.

The youth was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 16 August at a youth court sitting in Ceredigion.
