POLICE closed off a section of South Marine Terrace after an alleged assault which left three men hospitalised.
Police and emergency services cordoned off a section of the street by South Beach near to The Hut at around 4pm yesterday.
Multiple allegations of assault are being investigated by officers, which police said happened in a nearby property.
Three men were taken to hospital for treatment.
Two have since been discharged with one remaining in hospital - the extent of injuries are not yet known.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault, and currently remains in police custody.
An ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called at approximately 4.15pm yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, 3 October) to reports of an incident at an address on South Marine Terrace, Aberystwyth.
“We sent a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and a crew in an emergency ambulance.”
