A MAN has been arrested following an allegation of aggravated burglary in the middle of Llanidloes in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Police officers have increased patrols in the town to reassure the local community following the alleged attack which left on man in hospital.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Police are investigating an allegation of aggravated burglary which occurred at a property in High Street, Llanidloes in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday 26 July 26.

“One male has been taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

“One male has been arrested in connection with the incident and currently remains in police custody.
