A back road on the outskirts of Penrhyn-coch near Aberystwyth is closed following a collision.

A number of emergency vehicles, including police cars and ambulances, have been reported heading through the village towards the single track lane.

Dyfed-Powys Police said in a post to social media: "Back Road - Pen-Rhiw-Newydd - Aberystwyth.

"The road is currently closed due to a collision

"Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey."
