A 45-year-old Barmouth man who admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm has been warned he faces jail.
Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke told Peter McAllister of Kings Crescent that he should be under no illusion that a pre-sentence report which was ordered would involve “the length of the custodial sentence, nothing else.”
The attack on Mark Stanton on 6 December had included a headbutt, Emmalyne Downing, prosecuting, said at Caernarfon crown court.
She told the judge that the prosecution accepted the guilty plea to the lesser charge of unlawful wounding after McAllister pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent.
The incident had been captured on CCTV.
McAllister was further remanded in custody to a hearing next month.
