Police have confirmed this afternoon that a body has been found during the search for well-known Aberystwyth photographer Keith Morris.

Formal identification is yet to take place, but officers from Dyfed-Powys Police said this afternoon that next of kin had been made aware of the development.

In a statement, Dyfed-Powys Police said: "The body of a man has been discovered this morning (5 October) in the water at Borth beach, Ynyslas, during the search for missing man Keith Morris, who was reported missing to police on Friday, 4 October.

"Formal identification has not yet taken place, however next of kin is aware of the development.

"Officers are now appealing for any information which could help them piece together the events leading up to the death.

"Keith was last seen and spoken to at around lunchtime on Thursday, 3 October."
