A GLASS installer from Fairbourne stole his employer’s van after he was sacked from his post.
Benjamin Sidwell, 24, of no fixed abode, took a VW Caddy van from his former employer’s glass installation depot having being dismissed from his post as a glass installer.
The court heard that this was a case of a former operative using the company vehicle for personal use without permission.
It was stressed in court that there had been no damage to the van when it was recovered.
Defending solicitor, Carly Forfar, explained to the court that Sidwell reacted to his dismissal in a petulant manner and his behaviour and actions were down to a matter of unpaid wages.
Magistrates gave Sidwell an £80 fine, he was ordered to pay court fees of £85 and has to pay a victim surcharge of £30.
