A CONSTRUCTION company boss has blasted thieves who stole power tools, a caravan and a motorbike in an overnight crime spree on an industrial estate.

Police are urgently seeking witnesses after five units at the Cookes Industrial Estate in Penrhyndeudraeth were broken into overnight between 31 July and 1 August.

Alongside the vehicles and power tools, a haul of batteries were also stolen.

TIR Construction was one of the businesses hardest hit by the break-ins.

Managing director Tony Edwards said: “We’ve been here five or six years and have never had a problem before, but I was not a happy chappy when I found out what had happened. I felt very annoyed that someone had been in my shed without permission.

“God knows what it feels like when someone breaks into your home, it must be horrendous.”

Penrhyndeudraeth councillor Gareth Thomas was also appalled.

“The property in these units belongs to extremely hard-working people and I am disgusted that someone has stolen so many items,” said Cllr Thomas.

“I would appeal to anyone who has seen or heard anything to contact the police as soon as possible.”
