A chalet at a Meirionnydd holiday park has been completely destroyed by fire.

Fire crews from Barmouth, Dolgellau and Harlech were called to the blaze at Barmouth Holiday Park at around 11pm on Saturday night.

No one is thought to have been injured as a result of the blaze with the chalet being unoccupied at the time of the fire.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 11.09pm on Saturday, 31 August to reports of a fire at a chalet on Ffordd Glan Môr, Tal-y-bont, near Barmouth.

"We sent three appliances from Barmouth, Dolgellau and Harlech.

"The chalet received 100 per cent fire damage.

"Nobody was injured and the cause was unknown.”
