A PENSIONER accused of causing the death of a 90-year-old woman passenger by dangerous driving has been sent to crown court for trial.

Heulwen Mai Jones, 69, of Rhoddfa’r Garn, Nefyn, appeared before magistrates at Caernarfon on Thursday.

No plea was entered and the case was listed for 11 December at the town’s crown court.

She is charged with causing the death of Mair Roberts, a front-seat passenger in her VW Polo car on the A499 at Y Ffôr, near Pwllheli, in July last year.

The car and a Ford Transit van had been in collision.
