A TREMADOG man who smashed a glass pane on the door of his former partner’s house has been ordered to carry out 100 hours of community service.

Gareth Humphreys, 41, who now lives on the Isgraig estate, admitted causing criminal damage to a house at 8 Osmond Lane, Porthmadog, on 22 January.

The Caernarfon court heard that Humphreys smashed a double-glazed back door window after being refused entry to his former home and later resisted arrest.

Defence solicitor Carly Forfar told the court Humpreys and his former partner, Ciara Faulkener, were now on better terms.

A Probation Services representative told the bench that Humphreys had anger management issues, depression and was on medication.

It was added that Humphreys had diligently attended every meeting and was anxious for more “one to one” counselling going forward.

Humphreys was sentenced to carry out 100 hours of community service work, pay court costs of £85, pay for the costs of boarding up the window at his former partner’s home and a victim surcharge.
