Two people were hospitalised following a collision on the A487 last week.

The incident occurred on Monday, 18 February at around 4.48pm on the A487 through Penrhyndeudraeth, blocking the road for an hour.

A man and a woman were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor following the two-car collision, with one having to be cut free by the fire service.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We sent a rapid response vehicle and two ambulances to the scene and we conveyed one male and one female to Ysbyty Gwynedd.”

Firefighters had to help free one of the casualties, who had become trapped in their vehicle.

A spokesman said: “We sent two crews to the scene, one from Porthmadog and one from Harlech.

“One person was trapped and crews stabilised the vehicle and the trapped person was released.”
