A 36-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a 25-year-old woman in Pwllheli.

North Wales Police are appealing for information, but also moved to reassure the public, saying "there is nothing the local community in Pwllheli needs to be worried about”.

Police said the death, which took place at the Crown Hotel in Pwllheli, was reported to them on 29 December.

They said the death is currently being treated as suspicious and a 36-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.

Detective Chief Superintendent Gareth Evans said: “Any untimely death is tragic and our thoughts and sympathies are with the family of the young lady, who are being supported by officers.
