A 34-YEAR-OLD man accused of selling a stolen £800 outboard boat engine for £140 to an acquaintance has been jailed for eight weeks - but a 20-week suspended sentence was activated to run consecutively.
He also pleaded guilty to fraud when selling it at Llanbedr last March.
Prosecutor James Neary told Llandudno magistrates the buyer of the stolen engine was “shocked and saddened” because he had trusted Nesbitt.
Andrew Hutchinson, defending, said Nesbitt, who appeared in court on a video link from custody, maintained he didn’t steal the engine from the boat himself.
