A body has been discovered on a beach near Tywyn.

Police officers were called to the beach at Rhoslefain, near Tywyn in Gwynedd at 5.44am on Wednesday morning.

In a statement by North Wales Police, they say: “We received a call at 5.44am this morning, reporting the discovery of a man’s body on the beach near Rhoslefain, near Tywyn.

“Officers attended, and our enquiries into the identity of the deceased man are ongoing.”

Det Sergeant Richard Griffith said: "If anyone has any information that may help us identify this person, please call us on 101 quoting reference Y089938."
