AN ABERYSTWYTH mum has expressed her disgust at “heartless” motorists who carried on driving or turned around following a car crash near Aberystwyth last week.

Nobody was injured in the single-vehicle crash involving a silver Toyota Yaris, which occurred at around 7.30pm last Monday on the A487 between Waunfawr and the Comins Coch turning.

A mother who came across the scene of the crash while driving home to Bow Street with two two-year-old children in the car stopped to offer assistance and said she saw the male occupant of the car, which had overturned, crying in shock.

Samantha Charles, 23, who was driving her own and her friend’s child home, said: “I’m not sure how long the car was there, but he was out of his car by the time I stopped, and he was stood crying by the side of it.

“An old couple stopped as well, but didn’t really know what to do – they were shocked.

“There were car bits all over the road and rocks.

“He told me he was 39 and was really shocked and confused.”
