North Wales Fire and Rescue Authority has launched a public consultation on its Community Risk Management Implementation Plan for 2027-28.

Chief Fire Officer Dawn Docx said: “A Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) aims to identify risks facing the community and describes how the Fire and Rescue Authority will manage those risks, and continue to prevent and respond to fires and other emergencies.

“In July 2024 we published our five-year CRMP following public consultation. We have also published our 2024-25, 2025-26 and 2026-27 Implementation Plans, which contained improvement and well-being objectives to enable us to deliver against our long-term objectives. These plans can be accessed at https://www.northwalesfire.gov.wales/about-us/performance-and-improvement/corporate-plans-and-self-assessment/.

“We now want our communities to take part in a consultation on the Community Risk Management Implementation Plan for 2027-2028.

“This consultation is important to everyone in North Wales and so listening to your views is important to us.

“We want to know if you think we have identified the most appropriate risks and whether our plans and objectives will meet the aims of our five principles.”

Cllr Dylan Rees, Fire and Rescue Authority Chair, said: “Feedback from those who live, work and visit our region is really important - we want to know what you think about our plans before we as a Fire and Rescue Authority makes any final decisions.

“So please take the time to complete the consultation questionnaire.

“The more people get involved, the better informed we can be so that we can ensure we continue to keep our communities as safe as possible.”

The consultation closes at midnight on 13 December.
