Police are trying to trace a ‘good Samaritan’ who helped the victim of a serious assault in Aberystwyth by giving him a lift in his van.

Aberystwyth CID are making enquiries into an incident in the early hours of Sunday, 22 March, in which a man sustained significant injuries.

The assault took place in the Bridge Street area, shortly after 2am.

Officers are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with CCTV of the area, to make contact with the investigation team.

Police are also keen to speak to another man who has provided the injured victim with a lift in a van to the Trefechan area shortly after the assault.
