ARRIVA Bus Wales are offering a £2,000 reward to anyone with information on an arson attack on their buses in Pwllheli over the weekend.

A joint investigation has been launched by North Wales Police and North Wales Fire Service after a double-decker and a single-decker bus were destroyed in the blaze, which is reported to have started just before 2.30am on Saturday, 16 July, at Glandon garage on Caernarfon Road.

A spokesperson for the company said: “Arriva Bus Wales is supporting both police and fire services in their investigations and is also offering a £2,000 reward for information resulting in convictions arising from the case.”

Inspector Dewi Jones said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Glandon Garage on Caernarfon Road between 1.30am and 2.30am on Saturday or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area.”

Anyone with information relating to the fire is asked to call PC100 Carwyn Thomas at Pwllheli Police Station on 101.
