A 29-YEAR-OLD Porthmadog man has admitted causing grievous bodily harm, with a court hearing how a single punch in the heat of the moment left his victim needing four plates to repair his face.

Sean Rochford, of Pensyflog, pleaded guilty to injuring Llifon Parry Williams last September at New Street, Porthmadog.

Prosecutor Diane Williams told magistrates at Caernarfon that Rochford had argued with his girlfriend at a pub and the victim, who was in the beer garden, told him to calm down.

The victim ended up at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.

The prosecutor said the case should be dealt with by a crown court judge.

Michael Strain, defending, said it was a single blow in the heat of the moment. Full details weren’t outlined about what happened.

The magistrates bailed Rochford for sentencing at Caernarfon Crown Court early next year.
