WOULD you like to get paid to spend the summer months on Ceredigion’s beautiful beaches?
If so, the RNLI may like to hear from you as it launches a recruitment drive for the charity’s seasonal lifeguard and face-to-face fundraising services.
Successful applicants for beach lifeguard roles will receive world class training in search and rescue, lifesaving and casualty care techniques, as well as boosting their CVs with invaluable skills.
Recruits will also be trained in using the latest lifesaving equipment including rescue boards, rescue tubes and defibrillators.
In partnership with Ceredigion County Council, the RNLI has operated a lifeguard service on the county’s beaches since 2009.
Michael Vincent, RNLI lifeguard supervisor for Ceredigion, said: “We want people with the courage, determination and the ability to draw on their training and make the right decision if someone’s life is in danger.
“We’re looking for strong swimmers who can swim 400m with a good level of fitness and is over 16 years old. If you have the raw ability and the will to learn we can help get you fit and qualified.”
And the RNLI are now also recruiting for face-to-face fundraisers, who work alongside lifeguards on beaches across Wales during the summer to provide people with important safety advice and help vital funds for the charity to help keep it saving lives.
